RUTS Guidelines for Water Quality Management and Controls

Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS) complies with the regulation of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment A.D. 2548 (A.D 2005) as explicit policy and guidelines for implementing management the reduction and separation system of waste water treatment from university buildings and canteens.
The following standards for wastewater treatment management have been set: 1. Building staff regularly responsible for the waste water treatment system which are required to follow the municipality. 2. The waste treatment system for canteens must be installed and grease must be removed every 6 months. 3. Building staff are required to regularly inspect and maintain waste treatment system equipment and machinery, such as aerators, covers for the treatment ponds, sewage pumps. Any item with impaired function must be promptly repaired. 4. Canteen, shops, and beverage booths are required to cooperate on saving water to reduce wastewater.
In addition, RUTS has guidelines to ensure wastewater treatment from marine shrimp farms and hatcheries in our campus meet the regulation of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment B.E. 2548 (A.D 2005) and the regulation of the National Environment Committee (A.D. 2021).
