The Marine Science Club of the Faculty of Science and Fisheries Technology organized a mangrove tree planting project to prevent coastal erosion. The event was graced by Asst. Prof. Pontep Wirachwong, Head of the Marine Science and Environment Department, who served as the guest speaker. The event was held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Modtanoi Beach, Ko Libong Subdistrict, Kantang District, Trang Province.
Lecturers, faculty members, students from the Marine Science program, and the local Modtanoi community participated in planting mangrove trees. The growth rate of the planted mangrove trees will be monitored in future follow-up activities.
