The event will include an exhibition providing information about mud crab banks for youth and interested individuals. Attendees can visit the exhibition and exchange knowledge or information about resources on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Ban Pak Khlong Pier, Village No. 9, Bo Hin Subdistrict, Si Khao District, Trang Province.”
“Mr. Wichian Chaisetsaphak, Deputy Governor of Trang Province, will honor us by presiding over the aquatic species release activity on National Fisheries Day 2024. Mrs. Phannee Detphakdee, Trang Province Fisheries Officer, will give the report, and the event will be attended by heads of government departments, local leaders, and students. This event aims to raise public awareness of the value of aquatic resources and encourage participation in the conservation and restoration of these resources to ensure their sustainable and adequate use.”
“For the aquatic species to be released today, we received generous support from the Trang Coastal Aquaculture Research and Development Center, including 200,000 shrimp larvae, 10 juvenile mud crabs (3-5 cm in size), and additional support from local fishing community organizations. The Ban Pak Khlong Fishing Group, Village No. 9, Bo Hin Subdistrict, Si Khao District, and the Ban Laem Sai Community Fishery, Village No. 3, Khao Mai Kaew Subdistrict, Si Khao District, contributed 3.9 million juvenile mud crabs, 49 female mud crabs, 97 adult mud crabs, and 42 adult black crabs. In total, 4,100,198 aquatic species will be released.”
